Why this exists
Girls' hockey up here runs into a simple math problem: no single Northwoods town has enough girls to field its own teams. The Namekagon Rush solves it the way the river it's named for does — by pulling from everywhere. Hayward, Spooner, Rice Lake, and a dozen other towns all feed into 10U, 12U, and 14U squads that actually have enough skaters to be a team. The program needed a home online that explained all of that without a parent having to join three Facebook groups and decode a group text to figure out where their daughter fits.
The pieces that matter
A full program hub. Team pages for every age level, a schedule that posts games, standings, and stats once the season is set, a programs section that lays out the whole girls' hockey pathway from Learn to Skate up through the high school team, an about page that names every member town, and a registration path. Built so a parent brand-new to hockey can land on it and, in about a minute, know where their kid starts and how to sign up.
- ✦Team pages for 10U, 12U, and 14U, each ready to carry rosters, schedules, and standings
- ✦A schedule and stats section that fills in automatically once the season is set
