Why this exists
Last Chance Mercantile was in a bind. Their website was stuck in conversion limbo with GoDaddy — the service wasn't helping, updates had always been a struggle, and they were left feeling like they didn't actually own their own site. The goal here wasn't a big fancy new website. It was simpler and more important than that: get their former site back into their hands.
The pieces that matter
I reconstructed the site from the ground up as a custom platform — the same site they knew, rebuilt on a foundation they own outright, with the flexibility to easily maintain it going forward. Along the way I made a few updates to make things a little prettier, and I created a quick training guide so common updates have an easy reference.
- ✦Full reconstruction of the existing site — no platform lock-in, no hostage situation
- ✦Built as a custom, owner-controlled platform that's simple to maintain going forward
- ✦A handful of visual polish updates along the way
- ✦A quick-reference training guide covering the most common updates
